I'd look at the t/stat housing (for being plugged), more than the hose. The fitting that the bypass hose goes to usually has a pretty lousy cast job and the hole for the bypass water was always too s

I have not done this on my Alpine, but replacing a stripped/busted lug bolt is pretty straight forward (assuming it is a press-in application, and not a screw-in style). You should take the drum off

I used "contact cement". Very sticky stuff. Make sure it's in the right place the first time, 'cuz you won't be able to pull it back and reposition it... Gary Strom
