While working on my ,76 MGB this weekend I took a minute to check the temp sender. It measured 1140 ohms at ambient 60 Degrees F and 80 ohms at temp w/ a 180 degree thermostat. I also measured 10 V

The first thing you need to check is weather the material is actually tearing or if it is just the seams giving out. It is very likely the seams as the thread frequently is dammaged by sun rot while
