The 50 1/2 ton I bought came with a 1960 235 engine in it. The engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced. If I replace it, what would be the best engine to put back in and which is the better way to go

I just found out that this engine in my 50 1/2 ton might be an early sixty's (62-63) 235? The block cast # is 3769716. If it is, is it worth keeping or should I swap it out? I know it's not original,
