The engine on early spitfires were black. The valve cover was a copper-bronze color the closest match I have found for this is a GM Camel color - Plasti-kote GM 7147. Cheers Ralph Jannelli Matthews,

I don't think you have an original harness there. All Triumphs and I believe most British cars followed as similar color coding on wires. If you are looking for another source besides the Big three
