- The bearing surface normally is not machined, the line bore would be done to the block and properly sized bearings inserted into the bores. Sounds like your bearing size was not matched to your cam b

- Maybe try a small cutoff wheel on a Dremel Tool or air vane. If you can't cut through the washer, maybe you can cut the tab off. Good luck.
