I just finished dealing with the same type problem on a 72 BGT system with new hub, rotor, and bearings. First off, have a look at how its "warped". Is it actually warped or out of it's proper plane?

Has anyone found any substance for cleaning and polishing that wonderful "plastic" from the 50's known as bakelite. Without painting it, is there any polish or wax that will put a decent gloss on it
