The shift lever itself is threaded on the bottom end with a washer and nut. If I recall I had to crawl under for better access. I believe the shifter hole in the floor was a tad small to get a wrenc

Aluminum wheels shine up very nice, I had the lips on my minilite like copies polished and they sparkle like chrome. Painted the eight little spokes black at first but they seemed to disappear again
