Most 700's can be hooked up with 12 volts right to the pin from a switched power supply. Those kits are not needed for all but a few 700's. You can make it lock up in 2nd, 3rd and 4th or 3rd and 4th

All I was saying about those who run non lockup 700's is they are not getting what they paid for.. You can get varying stall speeds and still have lockup for mileage. I converted my 82 diesel to a 40
