look at a jap car or truck for a loud type flasher. nissans seem way to loud to me. that might work in your 2 ton hope this helps

I have done a lot of these conversions and use an internally regulator GM alternator. Use whatever pulley comes on the alternator. It will charge at at full output at about 1,500 engine rpms, maybe 3

steaming is the best way, some welding shops can do this. find a shop that is osha approved to weld on fuel tanks, they will have one.

i doscovered it by chance. i replaced my water pump and the bolt pattern different for the pulley too so i used a ford pulley thats twice as big. once warmed up the needle in the gauge never moves up

no, you cannot do that. the risks of bending something is too great. do it with engine off, you will get a more accurate adjustment that way by far.

most all vehicles flow from top to bottom regardless of radiator design, vs horizontal flow. The water flows from the top hose to the radiator and the head(s) are the last thing to get cooled. Revers

i don't know what would be the best paint, but i do know that paint or primer doesn't stick well to chrome, so I am wondering if the chrome shop can etch the painted areas for better paint adhesion.

What you need is a custom made radiator. They are not as expensive as one might think. I think the original HD radiators were 3 core and you may be able to have your old tanks mounted on a 4 row core

When I suggested an electric fan, i didnt mean to just mount it to thr radiator. I did one once and mounted the electric fan and pop riveted it to the inside of the factory shroud. This way you get a

it should cost about 300 bucks to recore it to a 4 row if the tanks can handle that. you can have them make the rad taller if there hood clearance enough. 581 is a lot of money
