Early 6 cyl. and V8 were different the bolt pattern to engine was different it was not until the 230 6 cyl. in 63 that the bolt pattern was the same as for the 3 seed and 4 speed the hole in the bell

I think you can go to Classic Performance Product or Chevy Duty and get there front suspension kit up grade. You will have to get a Saginaw steering sector mine is a Saginaw 800 model out of a 1974 p
