Have any of you ever managed to replace the water pump bypass nipple in the head without removing the head? Also, where can I get a new one? I don't see them in the usual catalogs. BZ

It's out. It just needed a little WD-40, vice grips, torch, hammer, punch, chisel, and a little patience. BZ

Actually, it's out of the car. I just don't want to pull the head if I don't have to. I know if I take it apart, I'll end up rebuilding it. If I rebuild it, I'll want to make some modifications. If

I am replacing it while the pump's out. I was just worried that I'd end up having to pull the head so that I could drill out the nipple. It's round and smooth, screws into the water jacket, and ther

I have one. It doesn't work for brakes. It's OK for checking the vacuum advance, but then so is sucking on the hose. Don't waste your money. BZ

Maybe I didn't explain this right the first time. Everybody offers three styles: 948, 1275 downflow, 1275 crossflow. APT says the 1098 is the same as 948, but different from 1275 downflow. VB & Moss

Diaphragm type clutches always look anemic compared to the old long style, but they seem to work OK. They're in most newer cars from the factory, and my 1990 CRX still has the original diaphragm clut

165/70 is a smaller diameter than 155/80. I don't think most of us want to lower the gearing any. 175's are a little too skinny for 4" rims. Although some people do it, it's not recommended. Choices
