I have noticed a similar plug on most of the u20 heads I've seen, but not all. On some heads it is plugged, on some it has a line that connects to T joint where the oil pressure sender also hooks up.

I've got piston #1 at TDC, confirmed by both intake and exhaust closed, lobes pointing up, the timimg mark on the pully at the long line on the crank pulley, and #4 pistons cam lobes pointing down.
