Some my say stick with the original but IMHO the aftermarket is the cheapest and best way to go. I wouldn't spend a lot of down time with trying to repair the pump I would just spend $30 on a new one

I have never had to touch the pressure switch and have never had a problem. Try it first and if it doesn't work then mess with the switch or if the warning light doesn't go out mess with the switch.
