isn't the problem really about bad roads? shouldn't be a problem unless you're going over potholes or speed bumps. I ran a comp pan for years but no city driving to speak of and never had a problem.

I could be wrong, but I believe Road and Track did a 15.8 quarter mile with a stock 67.5 Solex 2000 on 4 1/2 inch bias ply tires back when they were new and said they felt they could have done a good

just out of curiosity, I took a look at that NADA website to see what they had listed for 2000 values. was interesting that 68, 69, and 70 2000's were all between 10 and 11k for a nice clean car yet
