Checked the alternator at about 1200 rpm. It pins the needle on the 0-15 scale (VOM), reads approx 16 vdc on the 0-150 scale. Is this too too much or is it withing acceptable limits? chuck

Just tried to pull the alternator pulley in preparation for replacing it. Clamped the case in a vise, stuck a bar in thru the fins to lock the shaft, then tried to loosen the nut (counter clockwise?)
