I don't use them either, as my machine shop adviced against it for my Spitfire with standard iron valve guides - apparantly they need more lubrication than the bronze ones, and the seals do limit the

Thanks: I can see what you mean now I've tried back and forth. I end up with a compression ratio of 11,8 which seems pretty high to me -considering we in Europe have to run on 98 Octane pump petrol.

I ran an O/D box as well - standard wide ratio. I rarely used it on the tracks, where I tend to use 3rd and 4th gears only, but did on some hillclimbs, as the gap between 2nd and 3rd is rather large.

Ive seen than Rimmer Bros in the UK also have a 6-3-1 system for the GT6 in their cataloque - any experience on that system? Rimmer don't list the manufactorer, but these days there must be a limited
