I'm pretty sure Opels has 4X4" bolt pattern. I know Frank had similar wheels on one of his cars (Pieces?). IIRC Opel, Vega, and something else fits Spridgets. BMW 2002s had the same 20mm backspacing

No, more likely bad connection or mechanical problem with dizzy. Look for loose, frayed, shorted, etc., wiring on the primary side, e.g. coil "-" to dizzy and points.

In a word, yes. If you examine the wheels closely you will see that the hole for the lug nut is about 0.680 in diameter, IIRC, about the same diameter as the shank of the lug nut.
