So, I was looking at Bring A Trailer, and found this: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1980-triumph-tr8-7/ The information I can find says this is one number higher than the last TR8 made at Canley.

That's how I lubricate the distributor advance mechanism. A drop on the fibre plug in the distributor shaft ever so often, using the dip stick.
