Most of my experience is with 'A' types. To prevent a possible air lock, I prime the pump with a light bearing grease or Vaseline. Haven't tried K-Y jelly on 'A' types yet, but it would probably work

And there's no need to press the axle from the hub at all unless you're going to replace the GREASE seal or bearing itself. If you have an ole leak, it's from the diff. Those seals are in the axle tu
