On solid lifters they have the nut and screw, not sure what the hydraulic had. Adjust when running at low speed like 5 or 600 rpm. Yes, it's a pain and will wreck the feeler gauge pounding on it, so

Amps is Amps, Volts are Volts. Cant read both off same gauge. The Amp gauge in my 54 still reads amps off an alternator. I connected the two 10gauge wires that used to be on the volt regulator to do

Tom, the change to the six's from 63 up are about the same as a V-8. Same side mount for frames, same tail mount for the trans which is the same as V-8 at bellhousing. About only thing diff from V-8

RPO may be Regular Production Option or similar. It is the option number either way. It shows them in the assembly manuals. I bet that is for the Hydromatic trans only, an option in 54 and later. G.
