If the tube is still round at the dented area, why couldn't you fill the dent by welding/brazing to fill the dent and grinding it back to original shape....then rechrome it???? Just a thought.......t

Has anyone put the battery on the firewall on a AD? I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this and any tips they might have such as what tray you used, re-enforcing of the firewall etc.

Doug / Smiler OK....you guys have convinced me.....I'll use the drop down box.....and put it on the frame....WHERE IT SHOULD BE!!......I replaced the entire floor board so there are no holes in it...

I am thinking (real dangerous) that I will put a steel backup plate approx. 16 x 16 on the inside of the firewall to distribute the wieght and possibly where the tray thru bolts put some sort of kick
