I did that last winter and broke my n_ - doing it. I changed the mounts after I put the motor back, I would do it with the motor out . Someone could stand in the engine bay and move the tranny a bit

The longer you wait the better, Even with hardner a minium of 30 days before sanding. I start with 1200 grit and wet sand with soapy water, Use like dish liquid in the water so the paper dosn't bind.

I have used spray vinal and fabric die on seats and interior parts several times. Its in the spray paint section of your auto parts store. Nerer used it on carpet. Carl E.
