I use AMS Oil with their filter. It has a check valve in it, When you start the engine the filter is full, no noise from the lifters, You need a good filter with a check valve. Carl E. -- Original Me

Fram did make filters with check valves, But I'm not sure if they still do. I use the AMS with their synthetic oil. Expensive but worth it. We use Delvac at work , Another synthetic oil for our busse
