Oil cooling makes up quite a bit (i have heard 30%) of your engine cooling. You may see your water temps much higher with out the oil cooler. I tried my Spitfire without an oil cooler and it was over

You probably saw my TR3A racing back in the late 60's and early 70's. Lou Gigliotti raced it in the early 70's and he was from Western NY. Back then it was green with 2 Yellow stripes down the center

Rob, I guess you will not be at the NARRC runoffs? I have noticed that a lot of corrosion will develop once everything is exposed to damp/moist air. My suggestion is to fill it with 50/50 antifreeze
