I took a few apart, shortened one and put it back together Nothing unusual inside. It has been in the car for a few years, working great I think the only adjustment is a pre-load to take up any play.

When I ran Triumph brakes on my TR3 I still used the anti-squeal plates since I figured they were one more barrier to help reduce heat transfer from the pads to the pistons. Not sure that it made any

The issue of bedding in new pads is more of an issue of getting the pads to off gas. Those gases will reduce the stopping ability of the pads. Did the pads come with any bedding instructions? Sanding
