What is the proper way to affix the chassis number plate to the engine bay of a 1966 MGB? Sheet metal screws or pop-rivits? Thanks, James

Bob Howard votes rivets, and Kelvin Dodd votes screws. Sigh. Mine is held on with slotted pan-head screws, but I was curious if that was correct. I think I would prefer rivets myself. Thanks, James

Hi folks, After two scary episodes of brake failure on my daily driver 66 BGT, I am thinking of converting to a dual circuit system. Can anyone comment on the wisdom or ease of this conversion? The f

No, but I have been dealing with a family emergency for the last couple of weeks. A new dual MC is around $180? Seems cheap to me, compared to what some people's car payments are. as but some My Dad

I did this very thing to my 66 BGT when I noticed the three position switch in my 73 Land Rover was basically the same as the MG one. Anyway, it is Land Rover part number 1H9077L, and is $18 from ww

I had 185/70s on my 66 BGT, and didn't like them. Mainly because I got tired of replacing the muffler under the center of the car. It would hit driveway entrances, speed bumps, etc. Also, the speedom

We have an 89 Range Rover that has been good to us, although parts are expensive. It now has 230,000 miles, and is my wife's daily driver. The first place you should check is www.rangerovers.net. MG

I too want AC for my 66 MGB/GT, and have given a lot of thought to the vent question. I think the UK spec MGBs of around 1973 still used the metal dash of the early 60's MGBs, except the speedo and

On my 70 B, the speaker was in a panel under the dash, facing down, so you couldn't even see it. I was thinking of doing that. I also have one of the AMCO aftermarket center consoles for the early B,

Here in Flagstaff (elevation 7000 ft) the premium is 91 and the regular is 87. My 66 MGB needs premium in Phoenix (1500ft) but runs happily on the cheap stuff up here. The other cars (except the tur

That doesn't surprise me. Back in the fuzzy depths of my mind, I think there is a picture I saw in a book of a UK spec 1973 MGB dashboard. It looks remarkably like the metal dash that pre 68 MGBs had
