If I had done any of that chassis business the SCCA would have had me put in prison. We were checked far to often to be that gross. Maybe things were easier after I finished racing the TR-6 in 1972.

In long days past we ran a cool can for the fuel on our GT-6,and saw a power increase. This was a one quart can with a coil of tubing inside then filled with ice before the start of the event. Worked

I braced my manifolds from the center down to the bottom edge of the block with a rubber button on the bottom of the steel tube brace, so the support was there not not extra vibration. Never Be beate

The louvers work pretty well to release the high pressure area in the engine compartment for as you have mentioned, the area over the top of the hood and before the windscreen is a low pressure area.
