I hear AVG works pretty well. It might not be a full suite proggy like norton (YUCK) and McAfee are, but it works. If you're a Comcast subscriber you get McAfee for FREE.. One more + for broadband!!

I would agree with Jim, CLIMATE is key to what works for people. I have been lucky, only a few days in the 80's but my car held OK with a stock MGB Rad, she was on the hot side, but never boiled out.
