How do you remove the light switch? I backed off the nut on the front but it won't fit over the knob. Doed the knob screw off, pull off or what. Didn't want to break or scratch it up. 1949 5 window F

How can I check out a vaccum wiper motor while out of the vehicle? If it is working properly, will it be sufficient or should I replace it with electric while it is out? The specific model is a 49 3/
