The plasticiser also leaches out under normal atmospheric conditions esp. sunlight and is probably the main cause of the film that develops on the inside of the glass. PaulH.

Can't say if the North American dash makes things more difficult (if that is what you have) but on the tin dash with the smaller gauges they need a bit of wiggling into just the right orientation bef

You loosen the stud that goes through the chassis bracket then wedge the spanner on the nut, remove the two bolts that secure the mount to the engine plate, unscrew the mount making sure nut and wash

What parts have you got for the rear? The steel wheel axle is an inch or so wider than the wire axle. If you keep the steel axle and just fit wire hubs - even if you use the so-called 'conversion hub
