your RB MGB has a de-tuned 1800 motor that in it's pre-emission days produced 98HP or so with it's double SU set-up and 25mpg+ easily. Even the early post '67 emissions cars didn't do too badly with

non-detergent oil is not a requirement in Spridget boxi. Use the same premium oil you run in your motor, but keep it on the thicker side (20w/50). Cap'n. Bob '60 :{)
