I use both the Motocraft FL-400S and a Wix 51516. I currently use the Amsoil ASF-34. Not only were they fitted to nearly every Ford Escort built, but almost every Taurus and Sable with the Vulcan 3.0

My personal preferance is a synthetic. I have used Amsoil 75W-90 in my OD for two years now without any problems. It shifts far better then when I ran a straight GL-4 rated gear oil. Amsoil gear lube

Yes there were two different types of differentials that I know of for the TR-6. The 1969 cars (and maybe early 70's) had TR-250 differentials while the rest of the lot had the standard differential
