You are exactly right and sharp eyed too, the chains should always be crossed. Actually I'm surprised Ted, the trailer owner, hooked them up at all, as he moved it approximately 50ft. from his garage

If you have a wire feeder seperate from the power source then you put it on a boom. Very handy, not hard to do and another good project. Richard ______________________________________________________

Personally I wouldn't consider any machine that is not 220 volt. The 110 volt machines do not have enough amps to weld anything but thin materials and if you do crank them up then the duty cycle is v

Just to add my 2 cents worth here. There is absolutely no substiute for practice, practice, practice. I agree with all the others that said sign up for a night class and don't resist the instructor.
