Bob's break-in policy is OK, but his "usage" policy is even better. If you never drive the car anywhere it will never wear out and you don't have to worry about another rebuild!!!

I'm not Frank, but on the two cars I've disassembled the spring anchor plate was indeed welded at that corner. A quick touch with an angle grinder and the plate will fall off. :-) Rick
