I am putting together an MGA with a seriously warmed up ( 1924cc, 270 deg cam, 9:0 compression, SU's, minor head porting) B motor. I am not sure how much will be needed to cool this thing, especially

This puzzles my feeble brain. If we are already lean, why would making the mixture richer (maybe that is not what really happpens, but it would seem the natural consequence of raising the needle with

Smokey Yunick's rule of thumb was 10 psi/krpm measured at the "end of the line" my alfa 2L in stock form makes oil pressure like your V8. I like spin on filters - Wix to be specific. not hard to cut
