There is no gasket under the domes. Just metal-to-metal. Be VERY careful with the needle. The slightest bump will bend it. Keep the domes and pistons together as they are a matched set. I assume that

I suggest that you find out what is going on with that rear brake. It should indeed have blown the pistons out. Slip the drum on the good side and have some one depress the brakes. Crack the bleeder

Sounds like it's either low on oil or blew a seal. There should be a screw or a rubber plug somewhere to put oil in. You may have to run it up and down a few time to purge the air out. Best regards,

Your might try a lighter dash pot oil. 10W30 is a bit heavy, IMHO. Try some ATF and see what happens. It is cheap and quick so if it doesn't cure it you're not out much. Best regards, Fred Schroeder
