1. Morris 1500 into a Mini? (score: 1)

How different (apart from type of motor & 5 speed box) are the Morris/Austin 1500 and Mini mechanicals? I've heard that the smaller 1100/1300 versions are basically reskinned Minis. Could a transplan

As far as I know, the 1500 was sort of related to the A-series, but it's got an OHC. The Morris 1500 itself is basically a 1100/1300 with the different engine, and it does have a 5-speed box. I thin

Are the Fiat X1/9 and the Triumph TR7 simply "badge-engineered" cars, or are there significant differences? From what I've seen, they look exactly the same and have very similar performance specs (an

Hmm... Maybe it's just that I've never seen the two cars at the same time, but I've always thought that they looked the same (I suppose that the X1/9 is a little "squarer" than the TR7). Thanks to al

You could try soaking them with CRC, WD40, etc. to try to loosen them. I use a cheaper version of Armorall on the Moke's roof, doors etc. Give the hood a good wash, and even use some vinyl (I assume

Sure, this is a pretty crude method, but at least you get close. If you don't count the turns, you have no idea where the tie-rod end should be, and you are likely to have some problems. Really? Wha

Right, I'll try that (once I've measured the angles). The Moke does have the same system as the Mini (same subframes basically), so I'll try to find some relevent data in one of the manuals. Thanks.
