Instead of messing with the JB Weld, I would suggest using threaded rod or, if you want a harder grade, adding threads to a long bolt so that it bottoms in the hole. You could then cut the bolt off

Could you enlarge the wallowed out hole, insert and weld a bushing in this hole and insert your pin through the bushing? This would be a stronger set up than just a hole and less likely to fail a se
