I first did this by accident. I still do accidentally move my turn switch horozontally from time to time, but I have never known if this is a "design feature" or if I am forcing it beyond its normal

I thought ALL MGBs (both LHD and RHD) had the handbrake lever on the right hand side of the transmission tunnel, so this advantage only applies to cars with the steering wheel on the LEFT.
