A butane torch did the trick. that pot metal used for the dissy is quite soft. lucky I didnt damage that. Thanks for all the help. Car is now running well, again, with a repaired dissy. steve 52 TD

Just turned 50 in May but had my first LBC when I was 17. It's a TD today but a Sprite in 1968. They are still the most "fun" car on or off the road. Steve 52 TD

How can you tell when the clutch is adjusted correctly or if it isn't adjusted correctly. When starting out in reverse I get a "judder" as I pull away. After a run I smell a faint hint of hot fabric/

Having replaced the Armstrong front shocks on my TD I want to check the fluid level on the rear "dampers". Is there a way to remove the large cap from the damper without taking the unit off the car?
