- I've been told by a local professional paint outlet to use a two part epoxy primmer on the bare metal, use body filler & again use epoxy primmer. Also they confirmed that non-epoxy primers are porous

- Don't doubt the pins without wear - mine looked like hardened pin in mild steel hinges. My 55 - 1st P U : Some pins came out with penetrate oil - some ground off heads off , center punched & drilled

- Thanks to your suggestions I got around to trying the Heat / BP Blaster and short pipe / bolt & nut rear bushing removal - it worked great. Used the heat / blaster & 1/2 " bolt / nut and exact sized
