Does the later rear axle have a breather valve? I have noticed a small drip coming from the front of the axle (rebuilt last year) on my '71 MGB and read that you should priodically clean the breather

Yes, it does occasionally peg. I'll swap out with a different tach one of these days. And I thought my car was unique?
