Since when are Solex carbs considered standard (ahem!). Turns out the Mikuni/Solex carbs don't use a butterfly valve to "choke" the air flow. They use a fuel enrichment circuit similar to the Weber (

John makes a very good point; running different size tires on the rear end put stress on the differential. The side gears and diff gears in the roadster rear end are plain bearings and subject to gal

I don't recommend using a hammer; I broke an EMPI rim that way. Fortunately it was on the inside and I was able to have it Heli-Arc welded. To separate the halves, set the rim and tire on an old carp
