I used AAA for my E-Type once. It was at home at the time but wouldn't start (forget now what the problem was). They brought over a flat bed and hauled it about 45 miles to my repair shop. No problem

Kinda hard to answer you question--but I have done this a number of times. You just have to work at it--twist and turn until the spoke drops in. Put a little grease on the spoke--this may help. tom

I believe MT90--it is recommended for syncro trans. as well. I haven't yet put it in my Healey, but use it in my E-Type. It could be my imagination, but it make shifting silky smooth. tom
