Jack, I seem to remember that some of these dipper 235's had the tall 216 type lifter cover and some did not. Is '50 when they switched to the short cover? Thanks for the education on these engines.

The original Rochester's are prone to leaking/seeping around the bowl if the carb is really leaky as in pouring out gas so that the whole carb and base is wet is would suspect the needle valve is not
