I will assume the Pastor meant 3835911 which would make it a '53 to '55 235. This would mean it's not the original 216 engine. Letter followed by 2 to 3 numbers just above the starter would indicate

I am putting together another rear axle for my 50 project. I had been using a 53 axle with a Task Force meatball installed and the spring pivot rubber bushings replaced with round stock welded solid.

The engine does have some bearing here. A 216 with 3.55 gears may be a little disappointing if you want to haul firewood up side of a hill. I could hardly notice a difference between the 3.90 and 4.1

Tom, your task force would be very easy because it had an OD option. You would need the whole trans as they use a different mainshaft for the OD. The OD option used a 4.10 rear but 3.90 works fine. Y
