I think if you use earlier drums, they do not have this spacing problem. The rear drums on the Series V does not have a flat space across the bolt surface, so unless the wheels you use mate perfectly

What if taller lifters could be found that extend above the lifter bore holes? Seems like it would be simple to make a link to keep the lifters from rotating. Any comments?
