- It is not the picture that is the giveaway, it is the text. Bugeyes came with drum brakes, a 948 engine and a smoothcase transmission. What he has done is upgrade the car to be more of a daily driver

- Most Concours events allow "period correct modifications" to sporting cars. The 1275 and ribcase transmissions could be stretched to be included under this definition in many smaller concours competi

- I absolutely loathe the UK Concourse scene - things seem more liberal in the USA. Over here correct period modifications are allowed in rally and circuit racing regulations, not so sure about concour

- I am with Daniel on this. A 1275 in a Bugeye is NOT concours. An unrestored well maintained original car is more concours than an over restored armour-all dripping plastic wrapped cars. Case in point
