Pardon me if I'm wrong, but this doesn't seem like what I have traditionally seen/heard of as an "overheating" problem. Yes, you are running hot, but your system should not be boiling over at 212 deg

What I should have said was that the cap was working properly because it was releasing at around 212 degrees, but this is only after the car is shut down and is sitting there getting hotter. It does

and a 15# pressure cap you should not have boiling until way past 250 A Bugeye downflow radiator tank (at least one of them) will not handle 15#'s of pressure. Don't ask how I know :-) Larry Miller
