- Can't speak for the listowner, but it's frequently done that way to keep traffic down if there are a lot of 'personal' responses that end up on the list. Many lists I'm on are set up in this way, so

- I use eudora, and it offers to map the ctrl-r (reply) key to be "reply to all" which causes replies to go to all the original recipients. Maybe your program has something similar.

- IMHO, the other groups you are subscribed to are "broken" (opinions are like asses...). Yes. If the mailing list is set to reply to the poster, a mistake in "reply" would result in sending info meant
